Hard metal standing seam wall and roof finishes have been around for centuries in the British Isles.  There are a multitude of different finishes available including natural copper; pre-patinated copper; zinc and coated zinc. Many of these systems include a lifetime warranty from the product supplier. Traditionally these finishes are fixed to a plywood build-up.  On buildings over 18m  high, A2O apply a non-combustible build-up using an adjustable aluminium support grid; non-combustible insulation and a galvanised steel support deck to provide a fixing substate for the standing seam product.

ZINC

The use of Zinc provides numerous design possibilities, from a natural zinc finish that will weather with age to coloured finishes such as green or gold. All systems are fixed with stainless steel clips or fixings. The substrate is designed in accordance with the combustibility and thermal performance required.

COPPER

The use of copper offers a premium hard metal finish, which adds character to any building. A2O worked on the prestigious Brewery Square development in Dorchester installing both natural copper and beautiful green pre-patinated copper installed on a curved façade.
